By Car
As with the neighbouring resorts of Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena, from the airport, follow the signs for “TF-1 San Miguel, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje” until you are on the TF-1 Motorway. Drive past Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje for about 28 kilometers, and then take the exit for the TF-46 road towards Alcalá. At the end of the TF-46 take the TF-47 towards Alcalá and continue north towards Puerto de Santiago and Los Gigantes. Click here to compare car rental prices.
By Bus
There are no direct public buses between Tenerife South Airport and Puerto de Santiago, so you will need to go to Costa Adeje Bus Station, and get a connecting bus there. The 40, 711 and 111 routes (about 40 minutes) all go from Tenerife South Airport to Costa Adeje Bus Station. You can then catch either a 473 or 477 to Puerto de Santiago – the 477 route is the quicker of the two (50 mins. vs. 80 mins.). The journey costs €7.90 (€3.70 + €4.20). More information and timetables can be found at the public bus website here.
By Taxi
It costs roughly €65 for a taxi from Tenerife South Airport to Puerto de Santiago and it takes about 35 minutes. There is rarely a long queue at the airport taxi rank.
By Airport Transfer
A pre-booked airport shuttle bus transfer costs as little as €8.48 and has the advantage of bringing you all the way to your hotel without having to change buses at the Costa Adeje bus station. A pre-booked private transfer by car for up to 4 passengers costs just €40.81 – which is about €20 less than a taxi, and is the fastest way to get there. Groups can also be catered for by pre-booking a people carrier or mini-bus. Click here for more information or to book.
