As you leave the airport, follow the signs for Los Cristianos until you are on the TF-1 Motorway. Follow the motorway for about 14 kilometers, past Los Cristianos, and then take the exit marked “Salida 73 – Playa de las Americas cambio de sentido”. Then, take the first exit at the first roundabout, and then the first exit at the second roundabout. Finally take the 4th exit at the next roundabout, then turn right after the BP service station and follow the road into the centre of Playa de las Americas. Click here to compare car rental prices.
By Bus
Several public bus routes connect Tenerife South Airport with Playa de las Americas – including the night-time 711 route between Santa Cruz and Costa Adeje (stopping at the airport and Playa de las Americas). The most frequent route is the number 40 between Tenerife South Airport and Costa Adeje (stopping at several location around Playa de las Americas) which runs every 30 minutes during the day. The 343 and 111 routes also stop at both Tenerife South Airport and Playa de las Americas on their routes. The journey takes about 35 minutes and costs €3.70. By Taxi
It costs around €26 for a taxi from Tenerife South to Playa de las Americas and the journey time is around 20 minutes. There is not normally a long wait at the airport taxi rank.

Hi, At the moment it seems to be cheaper to get a taxi at the airport rather than pre-booking a transfer. As long as you aren’t arriving at an exceptionally busy time, you should have no problems getting one from the taxi rank.

Hi, You can put surfboards, bicycles etc. in the luggage hold under the main part of the bus.

There are larger taxis, however most taxis cannot take 5 people, so you would have to be very lucky to catch a larger one at the airport. Perhaps pre-booking a private transfer for 5 with luggage would be a good idea?

Hi, No that is not correct – shuttles are running now.
The duration of the transfer depends on where your hotel is, and how far your hotel is from the airport. But 90mins sounds like a very long time, and I doubt if it would take that long even if your hotel was the last in route.

We will be arriving at Tenerife sur Airport at 15.35 and we aer saying at the Andorra in playa de las americas,will the bus stop at the hotel as l know there is a bus stop just close to the Andorra.

Hi, You might need to get 2 taxis if there are 6 of you. There’s a chance you could get lucky and find a large people-carrier style taxi, but 2 taxis is more probable. It will cost about €30 per taxi.
