By Car
As you leave the Airport, follow the signs for TF-1 San Miguel, Los Cristianos, Costa Adeje until you are on the TF-1 Motorway. Continue past Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje for about 28 kilometers, then take the exit for the recently-opened TF-46 spur road towards Alcalá. Then take the TF-47 north past Alcalá and on to Playa de la Arena, Puerto de Santiago and Los Gigantes (which all neighbour each other along the coast). Click here to compare car rental prices.
By Bus
There are no direct connections by public bus between Tenerife South Airport and Los Gigantes, so you will need to catch a connecting bus at Costa Adeje Bus Station. You can get to Costa Adeje Station from the Airport on the 40, 711 and 111 routes (takes about 40 minutes). Both the 473 and 477 routes connect Costa Adeje with Los Gigantes, though the 477 route is faster (50 mins. vs. 80 mins.). The total cost of the journey is €7.90 (€3.70 + €4.20). More information and timetables can be found at the public bus website here.
By Taxi
It costs roughly €65 for a taxi from Tenerife South to Los Gigantes and the journey time is around 35 minutes. There isn’t normally a long wait at the airport taxi rank.
By Airport Transfer
A pre-booked airport shuttle bus transfer costs just under €9 and has the advantage of bringing you to your hotel without any connections at the bus station. A private transfer for up to 4 passengers costs as little as €41 – which is quite a lot less than the cost of a taxi, and is definitely the best way to go for a group of 4 (as well as the fastest). Larger groups can also be catered to with people-carriers and mini-buses. Click here for more information or to book.
